  • Auditor General Report - Canada

    • Searchable index containing articles from a variety of Canadian journals and magazines.
  • Early Canadiana Online

    • A digital library of primary sources from Canada's early heritage. It covers the time period from the first European settlers to the early 20th century and includes things like government reports, letters, diaries newspapers, magazines and church documents.

    • Searchable database containing extensive descriptions and holdings information for letterpress materials printed in Great Britain or any of its dependencies.
  • Environment Index

    • Includes access to 49 environmental law journals. Covers agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning, and more.
  • Europa World Plus

    • The online version of the Europa World Year Book and the nine-volume Regional Surveys of the World series. Covers political and economic information in more than 250 countries and territories.
  • FRANCIS

    • A searchable multilingual and multidisciplinary database covering the humanities and social sciences. It contains abstracts in French or English covering journals, books and conference papers. Its strong areas include archaeology, geography, linguistics, philosophy, religion and sociology.
  • Factiva

    • Searchable database containing business and financial news and articles. [Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher is preferred browser]
  • House of Commons Parliamentary Papers

    • Indexes Great Britain House of Commons Sessional Papers published between 1801-2004. Fulltext availability for papers published between 1801-1945.
  • JSTOR

    • Searchable database containing an archive of important scholarly journals.
  • Microlog: Canadian Research Index (1982-present)

    • Indexes Canadian federal, provincial and municipal government publications. Coverage includes scientific, technical, and statistical reports as well as policy papers and annual reports.

  • PAIS Archives (1915-1976)

    • Indexes articles from scholarly journals, books, government publications, directories, and reports of public, intergovernmental, and private organizations. Web sites are also included. Covers all subjects related to public affairs, including political, economic, environmental and social issues.
  • Proquest Dissertations and Theses

    • Searchable inter-disciplinary dissertations and theses.
  • Sedar

    • A filing system developed by the Canadian Securities Administrators. It retrieves electronic filing of securities, information of public companies, investment funds, company profiles and weblinks to securities information for other Canadian provinces. New filings are updated daily.
  • Scholars Portal

    • Provides access to scholarly electronic resources.
  • SourceOECD

    • This is OECD's online library of statistical databases, books and periodicals. It provides fulltext access to documents covering a range of topics including: development, education, science & information technology, international trade data, economic indicators and industrial data.
  • US Treaties and Agreements Library

    • Includes official and unofficial treaty publications, treaty guides and indexes, treaties, books and texts, and links to important treaties and agreements.
  • Virtual News Library

    • A searchable full-text database of Canadian news sources in English and French. Major sources include The Toronto Star, CBC, La Presse and Le Devoir. Also allows searching of lead, title and byline. Date coverage varies depending on the publication. Also known as "Newscan".

    • Indexes 8,500 research journals across the Social Sciences, Sciences and Arts & Humanities. Allows you to search for articles by subject, author, journal, and author address as well as for articles that cite a known author or work (citation searching).
  • WorldCat

    • Searches library catalogues from 45 countries around the world. It contains over 44 million bibliographic records representing 400 languages. Includes records for books, periodicals, scores, videos, maps, manuscripts, recordings, web sites and provides selected links to libraries holding specific items. Also known as OCLC FirstSearch.
  • York Theses

    • A digital collection of York University dissertations and theses produced in 2005 and 2006.  Search by keyword in title/abstract, author or advisor.
