Research Databases
Current Osgoode Hall Law School students, faculty and staff have access to a large number of electronic resources provided through York University Libraries. These databases and electronic journals can be accessed directly from any of the computers within the Law Library and if working from outside of the Law Library they can be accessed through eResources. (For information on setting up your access to eResources please click here.)
In addition to these materials the Law Library subscribes to a number of legally oriented online research databases. Some of these databases are available to all York students, faculty and staff through eResources, others are licensed specifically for Osgoode Hall Law School students, faculty and staff and used from within the Law Library. Also, due to licensing restrictions, some of these databases require a username and password be entered before the database can be accessed. If you are an Osgoode Hall Law School student, faculty or staff member contact Sharona Brookman for information on passwords.
The Law Library has prepared a list of the electronic resources available to the Osgoode Hall Law School community under the headings ‘Law’ and ‘Multi-Disciplinary’. Under ‘CD-ROMs’ is a list of CD-ROMs that are available within the law library over the library network and some suggested resources available on the Internet are provided under ‘Web Links’.
