Circulation: Osgoode Full - Time Faculty

Library Card

The YU-card is the library card for the Osgoode Hall Law School library and for all other York University libraries. For information on obtaining a YU-card click here.

Passport York Account
A Passport York account provides access to online library services and resources both on campus and remotely. You may apply for a Passport York account here.

Access to library workstations
An Acadlabs account is required for access to the workstations in the library (excluding ones with access to the library catalogue only). If you have a Passport York account, you can obtain an Acadlabs account here.

Research Assistants
The upper portion of the application for a Research Assistant's card should be completed by the faculty member before a borrowing card with Research Assistant’s privileges is issued.
Library accounts issued to your previous Research Assistants must be clear of all charges before a card for the current Research Assistant is processed.
Research Assistants must also be free of library fines and overdue library materials before a Research Assistant’s library card could be issued. Research assistants are required to register with the library. A registration form can be downloaded here.

Mooting Teams
The Mooting Director advises the Law Library of selected team members. A special borrower's card is prepared for each team representative. The loan period associated with these cards is 100 days, or the date of expiry of the card, whichever comes first. This loan period does not apply to reserve materials, for which the normal reserve loan period remains in effect.
The team representative is responsible for seeing that all library materials are returned on time.

Placing Materials On Reserve

Books and photocopied articles assigned for required course readings are shelved behind the Circulation Desk and are loaned for short periods.
